Why do we make Art?

Humans have created art since the Stone Age. Even before developments such as agriculture, trade, written language, and civilization, humanity has been forming and sharing purpose with one another through visual language.

Artists make extraordinary versions of ordinary things, giving form to feelings, ideas, and the unknown. Discovering and creating ways to record stories and experiences, artists reveal the world in new ways so we might better understand and enjoy our surroundings and experiences.
