Since its inception in 1967, the museum has gathered a significant collection of works on paper by American artists. The Collectors Circle is a member group that places the collecting mission of the museum in the hands of the community. The Collectors Circle helps the Wichita Falls Museum of Art at MSU Texas develop into a premier collection of American art, expanding its cultural significance and educational impact.
Like other museum memberships, an annual Collectors Circle membership includes special benefits. Unlike other museum memberships, Collectors Circle participants take an active role in expanding the breadth and quality of the WFMA permanent collection.

All membership fees go towards annual Collectors Circle acquisitions as well as the Acquisition Event. Higher donations are welcome to help elevate the breadth and quality of each year’s Collectors Circle purchases.

Collectors Circle Level 1 - $150 individual membership

Special Note: Free membership will be provided to all students who have declared a minor in the MSU Museum Studies Minor program.
Membership in the Collectors Circle is valid for one year.

Membership in the Collectors Circle of the Wichita Falls Museum of Art at MSU Texas (WFMA) helps advance the Museum's collecting mission and the educational mission of the WFMA and MSU. It also offers opportunities to gain first-hand experience in the world of art collecting. Collectors Circle members enjoy the company of others who appreciate art and strengthen the Museum's permanent collection. Over the years, Circle members have made significant contributions, purchasing over eighty works by prominent American artists.
Artworks purchased through this unique process are designated as part of the Collectors Circle Collection. Throughout the year, the WFMA identifies works of art that enhance the collection's ability to serve the community as a cultural and educational resource. Selections also adhere to the standards and goals outlined in the Museum's Collections Management policy. The Collectors Circle then gathers at the Museum for its annual Acquisition Event, during which they see and hear more about the works and vote on selections for purchase. Throughout the year, Circle members also have the opportunity to engage in rich learning experiences, with invitations to members-only events including special exhibition previews with curator and guest artists, gallery and vault tours, special creative workshops, collection highlight talks, and more.
