Formed in 2014 by the late Judy Sherrod, this diverse group of mostly female photographers from the US, Canada, the UK, and Australia believe strongly in the ideas of experimentation and collaboration with their work.
Comradery, conversation, community, inspiration, experimentation, sharing, and celebrating the creative spirit are all important to this group that Judy described as a “murmuration of artists.”Working with our Curator of Education, Joshua Maxwell, the Shootapalooza group will have a workshop open to anyone who wants to experience the photography technique of Cyanotype.Please join us for the public workshop and the exhibit, “Shootapalooza Photo Collective, Diversity: Alternative Paths in Contemporary Photography.”

Cyanotype is a photographic process that creates a cyanblue silhouette when an object is placed on a reactive surface and exposed to UV light.
