Wichita Falls Collects is an invitational exhibition of works from private collections from Wichita Falls area art collectors. This exhibition features a variety of pieces from twenty three collectors and examines the unique act of collecting artwork. As Curator of Collections and Exhibitions Danny Bills writes in his statement for the exhibition, “Collection art is about more than just procuring pretty things: it can be about a passion to support the arts, to participate in art history, to tell a story, to amass a group of works that reflects one’s preference or a specific art historical period.”
