Katherine Liontas-Warren
Katherine Liontas-Warren (present) is an Oklahoma-based artist and arts educator, focusing on abstract realism, narrative, and realistic drawings. Specializing in lithography and drawing, Liontas-Warren received her BS from Southern Connecticut State University in 1981 and her MFA from Texas Tech in 1983. The following year, she began teaching printmaking, drawing, and watercolor at Cameron University, where she remained for 37 years. She now focuses on her art full-time and serves as an active board member of the visual arts advisory board for the Oklahoma Arts Institute. Liontas-Warren has received commendations including the 2010 Artist of the Year Award from the Paseo Art Association in Oklahoma City. Her work is held in collections such as the Museum of Texas Tech University, the Arkansas Art Center, and the Milwaukee Museum of Art.
