First airplane to visit Wichita Falls. Curtiss Biplane brought here by the Pan American areo Company July 28 and 29 in 1911. The pilot was J.J. Pontius "Flying Dutchman." Plane was unable to get of fthe ground. trail was made near Lake Wichita.
